DIY Non-Toxic Houseplant Cleaner

Since starting this blog, I have noticed more and more the amount of build-up plant leaves acquire. I have seen those *magical* leaf sprays that look like a can of aerosol and with one, consecutive spray turns a dirty leaf into a shiny, faux-looking specimen.

Upon research, turns out those sprays aren’t great for our plant friends. Since plants breathe through the pores on their leaves, any unnatural chemical can cause some real harm not only to the plant but to the environment around that the plant breathes into. SO i decided to try and concoct my own environmental friendly cleaner that would spruce up my babies without any harm.

This all-natural solution removes dirt, dust, grime and other excess build-up safely and free of toxins.

I’d like to thank the truly magical power of lemon & white vinegar - the two essential players in this DIY houseplant cleaner.

Super-shine your plant babies with this all-natural houseplant cleaner!

About:
This super-easy DIY recipe for houseplant cleaner only requires 3 ingredients and 1 tool (spray bottle). Lemon has natural anti-oxidizing properties and white vinegar acts as a natural pest repellent, so your pants will be glowing and growing!

Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice (about half of a lemon)
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 28 oz. of water

Tips & Tricks:
-
If you don’t have both lemon and white vinegar, you can actually use just one or the other to make a fine solution. Simply double the amount of the ingredient.
- Less is more. Plants are sensitive, so it is best to air on the side of less lemon/vinegar rather than more.
- Re-use old cleaning supply bottles and make sure to disinfect beforehand!
