Secret Garden Tour | South End, Boston

my favorite thing about boston is the south end.

Beautiful green spaces, a vibrant community and dang good restaurants, it’s an idyllic urban garden.

This garden couldn't flourish without the help of the South End/Lower Roxbury Open Space Land Trust. In addition to preserving the neighborhood pocket parks and doing all that's good for the local land, the Trustees host the Annual South End Garden Tour, a self-guided sneak peek into some of the neighborhood’s private green spaces- with every ticket directly benefiting the South End Community Gardens!

my dream.

Common features of the South End gardens include trailing vines, decorative accessories and LOTS of flowers. Lilies, Bellflowers, Balloon flowers, Black Eyed Susans, Blazing Star, Bugleweed, Clematis, English Lavender and Coneflowers are some of the most common types of flowers grown in these New England spaces.
